Today, we got to know the course and each other. Here are my answers to the questions we asked. Feel free to list yours in the comment sections! I’d love to know more about each of you.

1. What name do you go by?

That depends on who you ask. To my students, I’m “Prof,” “Professor,” “Professor Lee,” “Ms. Lee,” even “Mrs. Lee.” To my friends, I’m just “Sylvs,” and to my family I’m known as “YOU!”

2. If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?

Easy. Peanut M&Ms.

3. Tell us about a unique or quirky habit of yours.

I carry a bag of peanut m&msĀ in my purseĀ almost always.

4. If you had to describe yourself in three words, it would be…

Determined. Curious. Confused.

5. What did you want to be when you were a child?

Pediatric cardiovascular surgeon (and yes, as a seven-year-old, I’d say it just like that).

6. What is your fondest memory in the classroom?

Watching “Ghandi” for the first time in my World History class, while eating samosas for the first time!

7. If you could have lunch with any person, living or deceased, who would it be and why?

Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a priest during World War II, who was part of a Nazi-resistance. He was executed shortly before the end of the war. I’d like to know what fuels that kind of courage.

So, that’s me in a nutshell! How about you?
